I'm sorry you misunderstood my post. Rigidity wasn't applying to the level of commitment to a strictly PB🌱diet in the name of animal protection.
Rather it's rigidity as a mindset that any level of intake of animal foods poses #health risks & that's simply untrue & unscientific.
Veganism doesn't have degrees of rigidity. You're either vegan or you're not. #veganism is not a diet, but as a nutritionist you should know better. https://twitter.com/NanciGuestRDPhD/status/1406291115364454411
And 10-15-20 years ago B12 deficiency was more common.
Also why we have to be cautious when #interpreting the #data of cohorts who signed up for studies in the 90s, early 2000's (diff vegan era). Avail. of PB products & knowledge around important supps was far lower than today.
@kevinnbass The risk is real, but educ, fortificat'n & variety in today's PB marketplace raise intakes dramatically. *But* reliance on fortified foods is risky. #All vegans should pop a tab 2X/week (1500-2500 mcg).
I work with dozens of vegans I've only seen low B12 2X in clients >55 yrs.

Another study countering the meat proponent narrative that biogenic methane (from cattle mostly) isn't contributing to the climate crisis.
